Remanufactured Cartridges Myth Busted!

Printing has never been a cheap affair. The amount that one is compelled to shell on cartridges is at times way more than what one might have spent on the printer! Brand manufacturers love to monopolise the market and often times go to extremes that only prove to be ridiculous. Like ascribing certain qualities to generic products that taint the very idea of generality, for instance. In the case of printer manufacturers, the biggest competition that the brands have to face is from the remanufactured cartridge market. The remanufactured, or compatible cartridges as they are also called, have been in the market for decades now and the major ploy that brand manufacturers use to discredit these cartridges is pasting the tag of inferior quality on them. That’s only one claim among many others. But what’s a myth and what’s the truth? Quality Cartridge helps you understand.

Myth#1: Remanufactured cartridges use inferior quality inks

Remanufacturers of printer cartridges are in a business like any other and are out there to sustain themselves. Providing inferior quality products does not help them in any way to establish themselves in the market or create a customer base. Most remanufacturers ensure that they follow quality standards set by the OEM manufacturers and use ink/toner formulations and processes that can match the OEM brands if not exceed them.

Myth#2: Use of remanufactured cartridges voids the printer warranty

Brand or OEM manufacturers are known to claim that the use of remanufactured cartridges void your printer warranty. However, if you are familiar with anti-trust laws, you would know that this claim is not true. Fair trade and anti-trust laws prohibit OEMs from invalidating the printer warranty due to the use of remanufactured cartridges.

Myth#3: Remanufactured cartridges exhaust faster as compared to OEMs

On the contrary, OEM cartridges are known to signal low ink and stop functioning way before the ink/toner in your cartridge has been exhausted. Remanufactured cartridges contain ink as much as that in any OEM toner cartridge and sometimes even more, thus resulting in a high yield.

Myth#4: Remanufactured cartridges damage your printer

Most remanufactured cartridge manufacturers employ highly skilled professionals to create remanufactured cartridges. They usually try to follow a process as rigourous as OEMs while developing their products. As all products follow OEM guidelines, there isn’t much room for complaint left. At Quality Cartridge, all our compatible cartridges undergo a strict quality control process to meet Grade A standards thus avoiding the scope of errors or damage happening to the printer.

Myth#5: Remanufactured cartridges do not impact the environment.

Remanufactured cartridges are refurbished cartridges made by recycling empty cartridges. The kinds of resources used in the manufacture of a cartridge are not exactly environment-friendly. If these end up in the landfill, they lie under the earth and just go on for years without decomposing which is not good for the environment. Each time you use a remanufactured cartridge, you’ve prevented a cartridge from ending up in the landfill.
